Matrix Productions was founded in 1987 and initially hired out light shows predominantly for the popular music industry. Matrix focused on providing reliable, high-quality services and extended its repertoire of hire equipment to include audio, staging, trussing and crowd barriers.
We moved to our current premises in Bayswater, Perth in 1992 and expanded our client base by catering for night clubs and dance parties, concerts in more substantial venues, expos, functions for schools, churches and community groups, corporate events, fashion shows and theatrical productions.
Matrix Productions Australia became a registered company in 2002 and has been a member of the Events Industry Association since 2005.
In 2007 Matrix acquired the hire department of Pro Design in order to expand our inventory and client base and improve our capacity to provide state-of-the-art production for events.
We are SASSI inducted which means we are approved to work for various large corporations such as Brookfield and CBRE. SASSI is a contractor management system designed to assist building management to ensure the OH&S compliance of all contractors on site.
On the other end of the scale we still provide the option for the general public to collect and hire equipment for backyard parties and smaller events!
Today we undertake 60 to 100 events and hires per week and provide a wide range of lighting, staging, draping and PA audio equipment for hire and sale. We have over 1500 hire stock lines alone comprising more than 20 thousand items, so stocktake tends to take a while!
Combining all of this equipment with our comprehensive service department and experienced installers and operators means we can provide a wide range of production services for events and venues of all sizes.
