The WA Business Icon 2008 Awards were a hugely successful event held in the Midland Railway Workshops on Saturday the 18th October.
These awards are the culmination of the premier professional business competition for young people aged 18 to 25. The competition showcases young business talent and has been supported by leading private, public and not-for-profit organisations since its inception in 2005.
Over the course of six days, contestants were given a series of complex business problems that tested their creative thinking, business and leadership skills. A panel of prominent and experienced business people then judged these tasks resulting in the announcement of Tara Franzinelli as this year's winner.
